We’re more than just a rafting town. Check out all the events our community has. It’s okay if you decide to stay a little longer than anticipated.

Sierra Arts and Crafts Festival ‑ Memorial Day

Annual arts and crafts festival hosted by the Kern River Valley Art Association, held during Memorial Day weekend in Kernville, CA. This festival is the perfect place to find handmade soaps, jewelry, paintings, photography, sculptures, signs, knitting and other local and regional one-of-a-kind crafts.

Wild and Scenic Cornhole Tournament

All proceeds raised benefit our conservation and education programs on the Kern River.
2 Person Teams. $50 Team Entry Fee. $1000 - First Place. $500 - Second Place 3rd, 4th and 5th places prizes too! Food vendors, live music, craft beer, and onsite camping.

The Starlite hosts their Cork and Fork festival every year, along with live music weekly. Be sure to keep an eye out for sip and craft days as well.

Kern River Conservancy

Volunteer while you visit the Kern and help us with Leave No Trace principals. The Kern River Conservancy is also hosting the Wild and Scenic Cornhole event this year.
